“Do not let any of them tell you who you are. You are the flame that cannot be put out. You are the star that cannot be lost. You are who you have always been, and that is enough and more than enough.” Cassandra Clare
11 February is a day that aims to celebrate women and girls who support knowledge and innovation; on this day, all over the world, all people are called upon ;to take action to remove any barriers that prevent their personal and social fulfilment. It is a time to promote change, to raise awareness and understanding of the role and importance of women in the extraordinary world of science.
In our doctoral programme, we have the pleasure of having fantastic female students, who have chosen to break down barriers and serotypes.
Thanks to each of them for their incredible example, today is just a single grain of sand in the hope that it will soon become a long stretch of beach.
