A CNRS thematic school “Waves and complexity” will be held from May 15 to 20, 2022 on the island of Porquerolles.
This school, co-sponsored by the Complex Systems Academy of the Côte d’Azur University, CNRS and Lagrange laboratory, will focus on the universal aspects that describe nonlinear waves in various physical contexts. It will provide the necessary tools to progress in analytical, numerical and experimental studies of waves in weakly and strongly nonlinear media. The courses will cover the theory of weak wave turbulence, solitons and their stability as well as wave collapse phenomena. They will be illustrated by presentations on waves and turbulence applications in quantum fluids, surface waves, optics, space plasmas, astrophysics.
The deadline for pre-registration is 1-March-22
Final registrations will end on 30-March-22
